David Letterman's Restraining Order

Colleen Nestler, whose restraining order made headlines on major national news websites, had requested the restraining order last week, claiming the CBS "Late Show" host was using code words, gestures and eye expressions to convey his desire to marry her and train her as his co-host.

She asked that Letterman stay away
from her and not think about her.

She claimed the ordeal forced her into bankruptcy and caused mental cruelty and sleep deprivation for more than 10 years. Nestler accused Regis Philbin and Kelsey Grammer of also sending her codes.

Letterman's attorneys called Nestler's court action "frivolous" in seeking to have the order dismissed.

However, the restraining order had been dismissed due to a lack of jurisdiction, and several Santa Fe lawyers who were critical of the judge said they doubted the Judge even read Nestler's complaint before issuing the restraining order.

The same judge who granted the order, State District Judge Daniel Sanchez, quashed it, granting Letterman’s attorneys’ request.

Colleen Nestler still insists that David Letterman is after her, and even stated, that if he comes anywhere near, or sends any one of his "many accomplices", she will "break their legs".
